Everything is based on mind, is led by mind, is fashioned by mind. If you speak and act with a polluted mind, suffering will follow you, as the wheels of the oxcart follow the footsteps of the ox. Everything is based on mind, is led by mind, is fashioned by mind. If you speak and act with a pure mind, happiness will follow you, as a shadow clings to a form.
About Me
- Learning Curve-KL
- Brief description abt me-came from a small town, single-parent and being the OnLy ChILd. Studying HaRD & ExCEL in exam has been the main FOCUS since young. Since my family is not well educated, learning on my own EffORTs & InITiATiVEs are very much difficult compared to others. Completed my studies via INPUT Learnings in classroom was extremely tough for me. Recently, came across E-Learning method ie Score A program and I've subscribed it for my cousin and within 3 months, she has shown improvements in her results from 2A1B2C2D to 4A2B1C and 6As1B in her PMR. Great isn't it? Do allow me to share the experiences and sECret RecIPe with you..

(1) Instant Marking Feature in Score A
The first feature that I would like to discuss this evening is "Instant Marking" which I, myself love the most. I've a cousin sister who is currently in Form 3 and all these years, I've been facing the same issues year after year which is marking her workbooks (which I hate the most too).
Why I hate them? Perhaps you can help me to answer that. Well, I hate the manual marking because I got no patience to sit in one place and mark for her and it's too time consuming. Hmm, frankly speaking, I was lazy to look at her workbooks after long hours at work. I always give excuse to myself that i'm busy and hence, i can avoid marking hers. However, at the end of the day, i still need to do that..and that's why I said I hate this the most cause it's unproductive :-)
By the time, I feel like marking for her, it's already few weeks down the road. And when i asked her how she gets the answer, she tends to forget. That's not the problem. The problem is when she keeps on repeating the same error in her monthly test & examination as well. That means the marking doesn't help her, isn't it? So where does it goes wrong?
Wouldn't it be good if we have an instant marking for students & parents then? Well, Score A resolve that once & for all. After student has click on the answer, the program will mark instantly. The student would be able to know the correct answer and will not repeat the mistakes in future. And for the parents, no more marking on workbooks required. So much time can be save! And the system was designed to be interactive with the students by motivating them with sound "GOOD!", "WELL DONE!" and "EXCELLENT!" every time they get the correct answer.
Ever heard of instilling positive attitudes and mindset. By giving motivational words to students each time they got the correct answer will instil that confidence level in them.
I've no more issue of no time to mark for her since then..isn't this great? And I'm sure there are many fans out there..so come join us.

It's what you learn after you know it all that counts
It's what you learn after you know it all that counts. ~Attributed to Harry S. Truman
Just got this quotation from the net which I found it very relevant to my blog which I'm going to share today. I totally agreed that it's not what your learn that is important but how much you understand and apply that counts. In my earlier blog, I've mentioned that why we or our kids are unable to certain that they will pass the exam or not though they have studied hard for the test.
The reason is simply because it depends on the % of inputs that we can memorise from our classes at school and tuition, isn't it? In short, exam is based on output learning, which what Score A program was designed for.
Score A is an e-learning program, designed based on OUTPUT learning and 14 UNIQUE FEATURES of Score A has assist and train the students to learn the correct way to learn. This program has been established since 1999 and the top e-learning company in M'sia, which was endorsed by our Ministry of Education on the 3rd March 2006.
Our program has proven tracks of records in assisting thousand of students in M'sia to achieve straight As in UPSR and PMR. And my real live testimony will be my cousin sister which has improved her Form 2 results in 3 months from 2A2B1C2D to 4A2B1C. With the lauching of SPM last Sept 2009, Score A will strive to assist more students to Score As in the coming 2010 SPM. Our program is now comprehensive available for Standard 1 to Form 5 and 100% according to Malaysian syllabus. So less worries to parents and students out there.
More discussion on the Score A program in my next coming blog so stay tune, folks!!

Input Vs Output Learning
Interesting article which I found from the web http://www.volunteerministers.org/solutions/technology-of-study-info.html?source=ga&gclid=COXDz4WClJ8CFYowpAodFkqEIA
Quotes: "Too many students graduate from school and college unable to put to use what they’ve learned in school. It’s not that they’re stupid or that their teachers didn’t know how to teach.
More than likely it traces back to the one thing missing from most educations—learning how to learn in the first place"

Input Vs Output Learning
Good day to all,
In my earlier blog, I've mentioned about INPUT and OUTPUT learning by our kids today. I've searched from the net and the definition of INPUT means:-
1 : something that is put in: as a : an amount put in
2 : the means by which or the point at which an input (as of energy, material, or data) is made
3 : the act or process of putting in
In short, input learning means whatever knowledge, lessons that our kids being "put in" via classroom or field learning. We often heard about "spoon-feeding" syllabus at school. Yes, that's the environment that ourselves and perhaps our kids are in.
Wht about definition of output then?
1 : something produced: as a : mineral, agricultural, or industrial production
2 : the act, process, or an instance of producing
3 : the terminal for the output on an electrical device
In summary, output learning means to apply what we've learned in classroom and etc in reality and in the bigger competitive work environment. Do you agree with me?
Most of the time, we used to input our brain as much as possible, but not everything from school then when come the exam time, we start to output our previous inputs into papers. Not knowing whether we will pass or fail the exam? Some of you might have left schools long time ago and some are still schooling. Have you ever wonder why are these happening to us? Pls share your views in the comments column.

Common Problems faced by working parents with schoolgoing kids
I've been checking my blog quite often but didn't see much comments here. Kinda disappointed yet I will still continue my posting here to share. I'm not too sure whether you guys are reading or not cos didn't see any comments in my blog website. Is it too boring or not informative? Well, I will try to improve on that.
Met up with one of my friend who is working at the same time with 4 schoolgoing kids. We were chatting with one another and she has been complaining that she doesn't have the time to mark her children's workbook and do enough revision with them. Imagine ourselves working 8 hours ideally in the office, 1 hour for lunch, 2 hours stuck in the jam or LRT, 8 hours for sleep. How many hours we left for ourselves and our kids? 24-8-1-2-8= 5 hours. Do you think this is sufficient?
Well, definitely not. Isn't it? I, myself with a cousin sister who is now 15 year old, Form 3 do understand the problems that she is facing. By the time, I reached home, I'm already too tired to look at her homework or progress at school. During weekend, I will do some house chores at home and catch up with family & friend gatherings. Left with limited time for her. By the time, I have the time to sit down side by side with her and do the marking. She can't remember what she had done or found the answers. I'm sure these are very common for all of us, especially working mums.
So, i've been looking for alternative ways in assisting her in her homework and I'm sure most of us do. Make a guess?
Yeah, sending to tuition centre or one to one tutor. Does that help? Well, i don't deny that tutor has been playing an important role in our society today but is our kid learning the right way?
It's just another INPUT learning for them. What are the difference between input & output learning? Will discuss later in my next blog.

Walk the Talk vs Talk the Walk
Just met up with one of my unimate yesterday afternoon. My first impression seeing her in front of my house was she was down & moody again. At first, I was quite furious when she's late for hours without informing me but then, when I saw her facial expression, I just forgive her cos I knew she has other issues even bigger for me to look at instead of focussing on her lateness.
We talked for hours and she has been sharing her stories with me. Both her in-law & family issues that she has been facing and dealing with. Well, listening to her stories do make me phobia of getting married but then, it's part & parcel of life which we need to cope & deal with. My friend of mine been commenting that it's easy to talk then to act just like the phrase "Walk the Talk" of "Talk the Walk".
Yes, she's absolutely correct and the same goes for everyone out there. Everyone got his or her own unresolved issues but which are the one that we are in control then we've to do something about it rather than pondering and getting upset at some issues that are beyond our control. We are in control either to live happily or otherwise.
My advice to her was to prioritise importance weightage of these people that she has to deal with. Who come first in her life and also who will accompany her till the end of her life journey?
I told her is her 4 months old baby in her womb (including herself) and her beloved hubby. Be cheerful & happy always. Get rid of all those negativities in her mind and channel her energy towards her baby and new family that she's going to have in March 2010. Read more books & online search on educating & taking care of baby & etc. She was enlighten with my ideas and the most that I concern is she will be a happier mummy to be. Keep the spirit high up, my dear friend!! The site that I came across last week www.annegeddes.com. Take a visit at those cutie babies. I just love it & have uploaded one in my earlier blog post.

2nd day of New Year 2010
On the last day of 2009, I went countdown nearby my house. Last year, it was not so pack with people cause not many knew there's a countdown celebration at that place but this year, it was packed with people and countdown activities-stage performance, clown, stalls and fun park. Wow, it was a great celebration!!
About reaching the place, seen that the cars are moving real slow and worried that unable to get a car park inside. Yeah, luck was on side and finally found one little space for the car. Though walked quite a distance, it was fun to see people enjoying & celebrating the new year with such a positive manner.
Year 2009 has not been a very good year. So many disasters & incidents been happening-floods, buildings collapsed, H1N1 and so many more. Yet, people are still wishing for the best of 2010 to come. Isn't this something to celebrate? No matter how tough life will be, life still goes on so do we, people.
Wishing everyone out there including my family-a good year 2010 ahead. Bravo!!
